Ingredients
- Up to ½ pound mature fava bean pods
- ½ cup cold water
Instructions
Pour water into instant pot. Place steamer basket inside instant pot with fava bean pods
Close the lid as well as vent.
Hi-pressure cook for 3 minutes (time range is 2-4 minutes, where 4 minutes results in softer beans).
Perform a quick release and remove fava bean pods immediately. Allow mature fava bean pods to cool or place in cold/ice water.
Tear open each pod to remove fava beans. If desired, also remove each fava bean shell by tearing it and sliding the fava bean out.
Eat immediately, blend into a dip or garnish with desired dressing.
